Between getting back from Greece in the middle of the week (I promise blog posts on the trip are coming soon) and going
out to say one last 'see ya later' to
Caitlin last night, we were,
needless to say, exhausted and determined to catch up Saturday
morning (especially Ryan since he has that whole job thing going on too). Even
Angus was game for that, I figured he would be up waggin' his
tail, ready to take on the day but no, turns out he was pretty tired from
his week of playing at the kennel too! After taking him out and feeding
him his breakfast, he put himself back to bed and we all slept til
noon!!! I honestly can't tell you the last time I did that, I am a
morning person in every sense of the word so I must have been tired!!
After sleeping in til noon, we moved our laziness to the couch to
enjoy the Olympics (can't believe they are almost over!). But, it wasn't
long before we were itching to get outside and enjoy the (Scotland)
summer like temps and get some fresh air. We headed northwest to a
village called Kemnay and had a nice walk about the Fetternear Estate.

This was not a
Walk Highlands walk and the descriptions that we found on
this website were a little vague in parts and we found ourselves back tracking quite a bit. We were supposed to come upon the Shakkin' Briggie but never found it. Nevertheless, it was a beautiful and peaceful walk that made our lazy Saturday a little less so and when you come across castle ruins like these, it's hard to complain about anything.

I love your pictures from your hike! We were so lazy that we hardly left the house on Saturday, so props to you for getting out and exploring a little bit:)
